Prayer for a Stubborn Child
It's frustrating to have a stubborn child. You want to teach him the right path, but he just doesn't seem to want to follow you. Maybe your spouse did something to make your child like that, or maybe you neglected him. But whatever the reason, you want to change your relationship now.
Let us be thankful that there is still hope—through prayer.
We will still ask God for help, but to make our prayers more effective, let us ask for the intercession of Mama Mary and the Holy Family. Here is what you should do:
- Pray in the morning and at night using this guide: 3 Our Fathers, 3 Hail Marys, and 3 Glory Bes.
- Light a white candle.
- It would be better if there was an image of the Holy Family on your altar.
This is your prayer:
“"Father God, thank you very much for being a good Father. I ask for help from Mama Mary and the Holy Family to give strength of love to my relationship with my child.".
Soften his heart, enlighten his mind, and open his eyes to understand me.
May he learn to be a good son, like Jesus Christ who came to earth to offer himself as an obedient son to You. May he see the generosity that we only want for him, and may he follow our advice that is for his good.
Remove any negative energy from his body that is focused on me. Forgive me for all the sins I have committed—whether in this life or in the past—that have caused me to suffer today. May I also make amends for my mistakes with my son and begin to heal our relationship.
May the love of Mama Mary for Jesus, and the Holy Family, be with us and my family, so that our relationship with each other may be harmonious. Amen.”
Then, blow out the candle. Repeat this every day. Replace the candle if it burns out. Continue to do this to slowly soften your child's heart. Don't forget to do your duty as a parent—avoid getting angry, and if you can't help it, walk away first to remain calm.
